Consortium

On Friday, March 6, 2020, U.S. Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette announced the funding opportunity for the Energy Cyber Consortium.

Focus Areas

This unique consortium will help combat attackers on energy producers by focusing efforts on three key areas:

  • Establishing a knowledge database of cyberattacks and developing predictive models
  • Developing new monitoring technologies and tools
  • Designing tools to achieve resilience and robustness in future-proof architecture

Our Mission

The consortium will research, develop, evaluate, and demonstrate new technologies to solve critical challenges pertaining to the cybersecurity of energy facilities, taking into consideration all phases of energy production and transmission.

Our Vision

The consortium brings together leading research institutions, power utilities, and private companies. It will leverage the core competencies of each partner to demonstrate high-value cyberattack mitigation technologies. Successful technology demonstrations, supported by techno-economic assessment and systems analysis, will deliver transformative cybersecurity solutions, opening global markets for these technologies.
